Background and Experience
UFES is a public university with more than 18,000 undergraduate and around 3,000 graduate students. The University offers 105 Bachelor degrees and 58 Graduate Programs. The university mission is to generate scientific, technological, artistic and cultural advances through teaching, research and extension, producing and socializing knowledge to form citizens with the capacity to implement solutions that promote sustainable development. There are more then 1000 registered on going scientific research projects in different realms of human, health, technology and natural sciences. With more than 60 years of existence, UFES has taken a lead on environmental and health research during the past 10 years, reaching high levels of quality in scientific publications.
