Balanced gender participation

MER Partners aim at achieving gender balance participation as regards actual participation of women. For this purpose, we attempt to use a gender-friendly style in the official documents and dissemination materials as well as to encourage the participation of women as JPB and UAB members; likewise, as chairs in the thematic Round-tables of the mandatory RiMER course and MSc Thesis Examination Boards.

During the 6 academic years that the MSc programme has been running, most of the students have been women. Thus, during the selection phase, for two MER Applicants with the same academic quality, the JPB will pay attention to gender balance by selecting the less represented type (i.e. male in this case).
